The Oaknook Steel Notebook Clip is a small stainless clip that holds a pen against the cover of a notebook, so the two travel together rather than the pen going missing somewhere in the bottom of a bag. It solves a problem small enough that most people simply live with it. A notebook and a pen are only useful together, and the pen is invariably the half that goes missing at the moment you need to write something down.
It slides on and off without tools, so it moves between notebooks as you finish one and start the next rather than being tied to a single cover. That also means it works with notebooks that did not come with a pen loop, which is most of them. Because it is not glued, sewn or fixed in place, it survives the notebook it is currently attached to and simply moves on to the next one.
Stainless steel throughout, so it does not corrode or lose tension the way a plated clip does after a year of being opened and closed. It does not mark the cover it grips. Several profiles are available to suit different cover thicknesses and pen diameters. Stainless also means it can live in a bag or a coat pocket without discolouring, and it will not stain a light coloured cover the way a plated finish eventually can.
